AgFirst is proud to celebrate the success of our Chairperson and consultant, Erica van Reenen, who has been named NZIPIM Rural Professional of the Year at the 2025 FarmIQ Rural Professional Awards, announced during the NZIPIM National Conference in Christchurch.
The award recognises Erica’s outstanding leadership, vision, and contribution to the rural sector. As AgFirst celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, her success carries special significance—reflecting not only her impact across the industry but also the way she leads from the front for the AgFirst team. Erica has built her career at the intersection of environmental management, farm system design, and rural strategy. She is widely respected for her practical yet innovative approach to tackling some of the sector’s most pressing challenges, from sustainable land use and water quality improvement to navigating compliance and change.
