Mark is a founding member of AgFirst and has been consulting to pastoral farmers since graduating from Lincoln College with a B Ag Sc degree in 1983. He is also a registered member of the New Zealand Institute of Primary Industry Management.

Mark started out on the West Coast of the South Island and the Marlborough region working with a mix of dairy, sheep/beef, and deer farmers. In 1989, Mark settled in Whakatane and since 1995, when AgFirst was created, he has been co-owner of Agfirst Central Ltd centred in Rotorua.

Mark specialises in farm supervision for Maori trust farms in two sectors (Dairy, Sheep/Beef). His work area encompasses Opotiki to the east, South Waikato to the west, Reporoa to the south and Waihi to the north. He is also a certified Nutrient Management Advisor, Greenhouse Gas Advisor and a Land Use Advisor assisting landowners in the Rotorua Catchment to meet PC10 nutrient requirements and Resource consent.
