Kendal’s passion for agriculture and all things outdoors started young, growing up on a dairy farm in the Waikato. She continued to build on this studying a Bachelor of Commerce (agriculture) at Lincoln University and a Master of Environmental Science at Waikato University. Kendal studied farm dairy effluent and methods to treat it for her thesis during her masters. Throughout her years studying Kendal assisted her learning with practical work experience, working on a sheep and beef station, dairy farms, for AgResearch (studying the spatial variation of irrigation under border dyke irrigation), and for PGG Wrightson as a yard hand in the saleyards.
After completing her studies Kendal joined the Waikato DairyNZ regional team as a graduate consulting officer where she further built her knowledge of dairying and the Waikato. Following this and prior to starting with AgFirst Waikato, Kendal headed to Christchurch to work as a Farm Systems and Environmental Consultant.
Kendal is now working in the AgFirst Waikato team doing both agribusiness and environmental work. Kendal enjoys the opportunity to integrate her knowledge across multiple areas of a farm system to ensure the best outcome for the client.
