Project Brief

Sally has been facilitating a Sheep and Beef Discussion Group which has now been running since February 1996 and incorporates farmers from Aria/Mahoenui to West Waikato/Te Kauwhata. The group focuses primarily on a topic and may involve either an on-farm or off farm visit.

Progress of Project so Far

The discussion group continues to evolve with new members joining and others departed. Whilst there is a great diversification in size of farm and also the length of farming, everyone manages to get something out of their day.  There is still a long list of things to be achieved with the group focusing on benchmarking aspects of sheep systems.
