Taryn is from a Dairy Farming family from the Waikato and is of Te Arawa descent (Ngati Whakaue & Tuwharetoa). Taryn completed a Degree in Environmental Planning and Geography at the University of Waikato. She has previously worked as an Environmental Planner, Dairy Farmer and more recently a Technical Sales Representative for Fonterra Farmsource covering Rotorua and Galatea.
She is passionate about working with people to educate and encourage best farming practices, providing support to farmers and the wider rural community. She also brings a strong level of expertise in Agronomy and soil management.
Taryn plays a strong role in the Central North Island Agribusiness team with her technical and “hands on” farming experience. She has a strong passion for farming, animals and the environment in which we all work and play. She has a particular goal of working closely with Maori Farming entities to help them grow and develop whilst ensuring that the actions taken are sustainable for the generations that follow.
