After completing an Applied Science degree at Massey University, Matt moved to the Hawkes Bay where he spent 4 years working in the irrigation industry.  During this time he gained a broad range of knowledge in irrigation design, sales and project management in the horticultural and agricultural sectors.

Matt was also involved extensively with Water Metering and Telemetry, working closely with multiple water user groups in the Central Hawkes Bay with over 100 water users.

Matt was involved for a number of years as the irrigation sector judge for the Young Viticulturist of the Year competition at regional and national levels, and was also a judge for the Ballance Farm Environment Awards for the East Coast area.

Matt is now based in the Te Puke office, as part of AgFirst Hawke’s Bay Engineering, and can be contacted for the following:
