Alan has been an engineer for 20 years and has over 9 years experience in traffic counting. He has worked full time on traffic monitoring since January 2001.
Alan has set up and successfully managed Agfirst Environmental since 1995. As a SME manager Alan has to deal with all the issues of running a business, eg taxation, wages, marketing, overheads as well as running the projects that make AgFirst Environmental, what it is today; a successful consultancy business specialising in traffic monitoring.
Alan has successfully managed a range of projects throughout New Zealand. He recruits, trains, and supervises up to eight personnel for each project. Alan is responsible for the financial management of all projects and consistently keeps tight budgetary control.
Alan successfully chaired the AgFirst NZ group, during its developing years.
AgFirst is the first traffic counting contractor to successfully bid in four Transit regions.
Alan has completed a range of management training courses in time management, communication skills, business, and sales and marketing.
