He is a Registered Farm Consultant, having graduated from Lincoln College in 1979.

He is also responsible for the delivery of the Gisborne Monitor Farm Programme and Beef Profit Partnership on behalf of the Meat and Wool. These are technology transfer programmes aimed at motivating and up skilling the farmer’s through-out of the Gisborne –Wairoa district.
