Prior to joining AgFirst Northland in 2005, Gareth worked in the fertiliser industry and worked as an animal nutritionist. Gareth has been involved in a variety of projects associated with the Northland pastoral sector including; representing Meat & Wool New Zealand in the Northland region, running a Kikuyu Action Group project and supporting the Northland Pastoral Sector with Enterprise Northland.

Private consultancy is a key focus for Gareth; working with Northland beef and dairy farmers to realise their goals and providing an independent perspective of their farm business. Gareth uses a combination of local knowledge and the latest farm management tools such as Farmax to help farmers get more from their properties.

Gareth has a passion for agriculture and enjoys exploring opportunities to help create a better industry, whether that be for his clients or the industry generally. He enjoys living and working in a region with opportunity for sustainable increases productivity and profitability.

Gareth is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Primary Industry Management and a registered Farmax Consultant.
