Four years of study at Massey University including a postgraduate year focusing on dairy production and pasture management has equipped Darren with wide expertise in farm consultancy.

A strong base of technical knowledge means he is equipped to deal with all aspects of agricultural systems from fertilisers to feed and financial planning.

He is a keen advocate of the use of the latest in farm computing software to enable maximisation of farm profitability and efficiency. He is a registered FARMAX consultant, a tool used to help drystock farmers unleash their potential.

He also holds an accreditation in sustainable nutrient management and is well skilled in the use of Overseer Nutrient Management programme.

He is currently the facilitator of the Meat and Wool New Zealand Northern King Country Monitor Farm Programme near Otorohanga.
